VINCI Kids Story Contest

Is your child an imaginative storyteller? Are you a proud parent who wants to share your child's story for others to enjoy? By participating in the VINCI Kids Story Contest, you’ll get the chance to celebrate your child’s creativity. The winning stories will be digitally designed and available on VINCI Kids Library for millions of children to learn.

YouTube Instructions

  1. Visit www.youtube.com and login to your YouTube/Google Account by clicking on Sign In.
  2. If you do not have an existing YouTube/Google account, please select Create An Account and fill in the required information.
  3. Once you have successfully signed in, select Upload to begin uploading your file.
  4. Click on Select Files From Your Computer to locate the file on your computer.
  5. While the video is uploading, please fill in the appropriate description for your video. Please set the video’s Privacy Setting to Unlisted.
  6. Once the upload is complete, click on your account name at the top right of the screen and choose Video Manager.
  7. Locate the file you have uploaded and right-click on it. Copy and paste the URL from the browser directly into the submission form.

Participation Guidelines

Video:

  • Record a video of your child narrating his or her Story. (Note: Ensure the video is no longer than 5 minutes).
  • Upload the video to YouTube at www.youtube.com. View complete YouTube instructions.
  • Provide us with a link to the YouTube video.

Picture Book:

  • Have your child draw out his or her story using pictures. (Note: the picture book should contain no more than 20 pictures).
  • Compile your child’s pictures into a Mircosoft Word document or PDF file by scanning his or her pictures using a scanner.
  • Upload the document.

Written Book:

  • Have your child write their Story. (Note: the Story should be no longer than 300 words and must be proofread for spelling and grammatical errors. Pictures may be included.)
  • Upload the document.

Note: Ensure you enter your child's age on the form. This will help group the submission into one of 3 age categories: Toddlers (under 3 years), Preschoolers (ages 3 - 6), Elementary (6 - 9 years). A winner will be picked from each group.
