Your child will watch several short videos and help the VINCI characters by choosing polite responses to everyday experiences. They will learn that their responses will affect the feelings of others.

How to Maximize the Learning Experience
During Play
  1. Baby Haha is eating dinner and is thirsty. There is a glass of water by Hohoha Monkey. What should Baby Haha do? Your child will be given three choices – ask for the water politely, cry, or demand the water. If the correct response is given, Hohoha Monkey will pass Baby Haha the water and will be happy to have helped. If the incorrect response is given, Hohoha Monkey will not pass the water because Baby Haha did not ask for it politely.
  2. Billy Ant is at the supermarket. He cannot reach the mushrooms. Baby Haha helps Billy Ant by handing him some mushrooms. What should Billy Ant do? Your child will be given three choices – Billy Ant should say nothing, Billy Ant should say “Thank you”, or Billy Ant should turn around and ignore Baby Haha. If the correct answer is given, Billy Ant will thank Baby Haha and everyone will feel happy. If the incorrect answer is given, Baby Haha will tell Billy Ant that he should have said “thank you” and he will take the mushrooms back, placing them on the pile.
  3. Panda is at the park. He accidently bumps into Hohoha Monkey. What should Panda do? Your child will be given three choices – Panda should continue walking, Panda should stop and apologize to Hohoha Monkey, or Panda should laugh and make fun of Hohoha Monkey. If the correct response is given, Panda will apologize and help Hohoha Monkey up, making Hohoha Monkey feel happy. If the incorrect response is given, Hohoha Monkey will feel sad.
  4. Hohoha Monkey sees Billy Ant at the supermarket. He waves to Billy Ant. What should Billy Ant do? Your child will be given three choices – smile and wave back to Hohoha Monkey, ignore Hohoha Monkey, or make a sad face at Hohoha Monkey. If the correct response is given, Hohoha Monkey will feel happy. If the incorrect response is given, Hohoha Monkey will be sad that his friend did not treat him politely.
