To prevent the tablet from freezing in any activity, please turn off your device prior to charging.

Hardware FAQs

Battery Issue

  1. Is the charger indicator light on?
  2. When plugged in, does the main screen of the tablet show a charge percentage?
  3. Turn tablet off prior to charging.
  4. Connect your charger to your tablet using the provided USB cable.
  5. Plug the charger into an electrical outlet.
  6. Ensure your tablet is turned ON while charging, but allow it to go into sleep mode.
  7. Leave the tablet to charge for at least 6 hours.
  8. Do not use your tablet during charging.
  9. Power-cycle your tablet off then back on again.

Accidental Touch Screen Damage

Unfortunately accidental damage to the screen is not covered under warranty. We do offer a repair service which has a cost of USD plus shipping.

Curriculum installation (SD Card)

Curriculum Installation (Digital Version)

From the Parent Menu, launch the VINCI Curriculum Installer, then choose an app and place your order. Your apps are now ready for your enjoyment under All Apps.

From the Parent Menu, launch the VINCI Kids Library Installer, then choose an app and place your order. Your apps are now ready for your enjoyment under All Apps.

Frozen Screen

Sometimes the screen may freeze while using an app or watching a video. This may happen due to android internal processing errors. In order to solve this you may need to restart the device by pressing the power button for 10 seconds or by inserting a thin pin in the small hole on the back of the tablet. To prevent the tablet from freezing in any activity, please turn off your device prior to charging.

Flashing Screen

If the tab has not been used in some time, upon charging the device you may see the screen flashing. This is normal as the battery warms up and will resume to normal within 10-20 minutes of charging. To eliminate this from occurring, it is best to power on/charge your device regularly.

‘VINCI Tab Only’ Message

‘This app can only be run on a Vinci tab’. In the event you receive this message while trying to load an app, it may mean the system memory is full and a system restart is required.

Parental Login

To access the parent login, the password is MyVINCI. This password is case sensitive and cannot be changed.

Tab Manager Not Recognizing The Device

Tab Manager is only compatible with first generation devices.

How can I install apps or media files via USB

In order to install an application or any other content such as music, videos or image files onto your VINCI Tab you need to have them located in your computer. Then follow the steps below:

  1. Set your tablet to USB Storage mode by connecting your device to the computer via USB cable, then on your tablet, touch the top of the screen and when you see the bar highlighted drag it to the bottom across the screen.
  2. Select USB connected.
  3. Select Turn On USB storage.
  4. From your computer you will be able to see your device as a Removable Disk.
  5. Now you can drag and drop any content from your computer to your tablet.
  6. After copying the file to your tablet you need to turn off USB Storage (Steps 1-3).
  7. From the Apps list open Astro. This is a file explorer that will allow you browse your device files and folders.
  8. If it is an application that you are trying to install, locate the .apk file and select it by tapping it. That will automatically prompt you to open App Manager and install your app. After it is installed you will be able to find it in the All apps section (Step 7).
  9. If the content you added is music, video or images use the appropriate app to open it (Music use Music application. Videos and Images use Gallery Application).

How can I install apps or media files via MicroSD card

  1. In order to install an application or any other content like music, video or an image file onto your VINCI Tab you will need to have them located in your computer. Then follow the steps below: Connect your MicroSD Card to your computer using the appropriate adaptor (if required). Your computer should recognize it as a Removable Disk.
  2. Drag all the content you would like to add into your tablet to any location on the Removable Disk.
  3. Correctly insert the MicroSD Card into your tablet (gold PIN should be facing up).
  4. From the Apps list open Astro. This is a file explorer that will allow you browse your device files and folders.
  5. Find and open the folder “tflash” located on the SDcard directory.
  6. If it is an application that you want to install, select it by tapping it. It will automatically prompt you to open App Manager and install your app. After it is installed you will be able to find it in the All Apps section (Step 4).
  7. If the content you want to access is music, video or image file use the appropriate app to open it. (Music use Music application. Videos and Images use Gallery Application. Note: There is no need to copy those files to the device. They can be opened directly from the MicroSD card).

Third Party Apps Not Working

Some apps obtained from Google Play or Android Market may not be compatible with some models of the VINCI Tab. This may be due to the hardware required such as GPU usage or the Android Version running on the tablet. We recommend to read the requirements of each application prior to installing on the VINCI Tab.

When Will I Receive My Order?

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email notification confirming that your order has been placed along with your order confirmation number. Ground shipping normally takes between 5-7 business days and express is 2-3 business days.

Once your order has shipped from our facility, you will be notified by email along with the shipment tracking number.

How to Retrieve Missing Apps After Factory Reset

All preloaded and/or digital content purchased will remain in your online account. Please visit:
http://store.vincigenius.com/

Login to your account, and on the left drop down menu, called “MyVINCI account”, select Downloads. This will load all the preloaded content for your model or any digital content purchased from our website associated with your account. You can download these apps directly from your tablet if you have a WIFI model, or you can download them to your computer and install them to your device.

Click “Login” and select “Sign Up”. Once you have created your account and registered your model you will be able to access to all your originally preloaded content.

If you have purchased VINCI Curriculum SD cards, please install from your SD cards after factory reset. Note each SD card is device specific and can not be copied.
